HISTORY
Legacy and
deep experience.
Design Build LLC began as a small, family-owned construction firm and has grown to become one of the leading companies in the industry in Puerto Rico.
Founders Eng. José L. Ortiz Nieves and Eng. José L. Ortiz Serrano had been working in the construction industry as electrical designers and consultants since 1982 when they partnered to established their own contracting firm.
Since its foundation with very limited financial capital, the company has grown steadily and substantially into a multi-million enterprise thanks to its commitment to quality and its reputation for finishing projects on time and within the established budgets.
We currently employ more than 200 experts in all aspects of the construction industry as well as management and technical personnel and work with a wide network of suppliers to respond to any particular customer need.
We have a long list of satisfied clients in the private and public sectors, who keep coming back to us because of their positive experiences. While our experience has been in the Puerto Rico market, we have the capacity to work in other geographical areas if required.
